I have decided to invite a famous and infamous blogger to contribute to Voila. I chose these two experienced bloggers based on their help to Voila, a fledgling blog devoted to promoting the continued success of Mr. Mcbride in the private sector.
The First invitation was extended to Capper, the King of left wing hate, of Wallah for graciously making a comment about and posting a link to Voila on his phenomenally successful site. As a result of those generous actions by Capper, I have already received some interesting tips related to the mission of Voila. One such tip led me to information resulting in the selection of the second guest contributor for Voila.
The second invitation was extended to a lady that with one column in the Waukesha Freeman that was posted online at GMTODAY.com has done more to ensure the success of the mission at Voila than I could have possibly accomplished in the next ten years of posting.

I am posting a link to it for those of you that have not yet had the pleasure of reading it. Apparently a few of you have read and analyzed the column very thoroughly already. So without further ado, I invite Mrs. Jessica McBride of McBride Media Tatters to contribute to Voila since she now has extra time because she is not posting to her own blog with any regularity these days. And since she isn’t reading the liberals name calling blogs any longer, her quantitative analysis project for the university where she is on the journalism faculty should be less time consuming as well.

Maybe you could talk a Sunday night talk blog and have them both on to discuss issues in a peaceful manner wouldn't that be a nice way to end a weekend?

A Journal Sentinel investigation found that the state Medical Examining Board's disciplinary process favors doctors over patients.
The board is slow to look into complaints, keeps many of its investigations secret and rarely imposes serious discipline, even in cases in which patients die.
From 2002 to 2006, the state received about 2,400 complaints about physicians - 213 resulted in some kind of discipline. Just 24 doctors lost their licenses.
The board often does not become aware of doctors' potential problems for years. Investigations can drag on for months or even years.
These are the same complaints often levied at the legal system.

These are the same complaints that have been reported on periodically since the Grand Canyon wa a ditch.
Why is it that two professions that can have the most profound impact on peoples lives are shrouded in secrecy?
Speeding tickest are public information for criminy sakes.
If you are going to have brain surgery or hire a lawyer shouldn't you have the right to know if they are incompetent, untrustworthy, have previous disciplinary issues or are outright liars?
Why should they be judged by a system controlled by others in their profession?
Why should their investigations take years? How long did the entire Chmura fiasco take?
Chmura's entire case was completed between April, 2000 and January 2001. 10 months from start ti finish. Trashed a professional's career and splashed all over television for the world to see after he lost his earning ability.
But if wrong doing by a doctor or investigate lawyer is is alleged it may take years to investigate, in secrecy, while they continue to take client's and patient's lives in their hands every day and continue to collect money.
When will citizens and legislators decide that reading a story every few years about doctors and lawyers is not "discipline."
Forgot topost the site for HALT and for clarification the first four paragraphs were the bullet points from the Journal.
This should be comforting.
"When we first started to talk to him," Gatzke said, "I asked, 'Are you going to have any difficulty in handling criminal defense matters? He said, 'No.' " Rather than have Bucher handle "mundane" criminal matters, Gatzke said, Bucher might get involved when a case had "some issue of complexity that would require his level of experience."
Since Gatzke asked the question, he obviously was aware of the risk and was on notice to properly supervise in the early stages of the new career to avoid problems with regulatory officials.
There is a second artivle in the paper today. Wonder if they'll do one on attorneys. The reporter said she only checked out the docs so far. She suggested writing to legislators if you want to do something. Apparently the self regulated boards are a waste of time.
If you think doctors, lawyers and all other professionals that are regulated should have open discipline records, write your legislators.
US Mail is always better than email. Email is better than nothing and faster.

I have two stories about lawyers and one doctor that reinforce this story.
When you do file a complaint with the Office of Lawyer Regulation, they make you feel like you have no right to accuse an attorney of wrong doing even when you have concrete evidence.
At least the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board treats you like a human being if you had a bad experience with a doctor.
I agree with Shayne's comment. If you file a complaint with either one, send copies to your legislators, the Governors office, and if you think it breaks laws as well as ethical requirements, to the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
The higher the level of awareness, the harder to keep the problem a secret.
If you think the matter has public appeal, write to a newspaper, tv or radio station as well. The more the merrier.
It is truly a crime that some individuals want to keep the public from learning who are bad doctors or lawyers.

I wouldn't bother with the Jornal. Everythin they want to write istoo censored.
I leaked a story to a reporter there once who told me she had thought about doing a story on the subject but her coworkers told her it was too controversial and would never get ink.
